Hypothesis abound concerning "the time we almost went extinct" and "the great bottleneck", this hypothetical bottleneck is needed to explain the low genetic diversity among humans. But is there any actual evidence of this so called extinction event? Any evidence of these prior populations?
So how do you wipe out 99% of humanity you may ask.....V O L C A N O S....and anything else that can cause humans to near extinction. Asteroids, floods, disease, volcanos, tsunamis, solar flares, molar bears, you name the catastrophe and they'll take it (except for the geologic column...no catastrophe there ). Here we look at one such instance of evolutionary story-telling...the Toba Catastrophe.
If this is a front runner for the bottleneck it's not looking too good for evolutionist...
